Lionel Messi's year could get worse, thanks
to Xoana Gonzalez's confession on TV.
Argentine model Xoana Gonzalez has lifted
the lid on Lionel Messi’s bedroom life. In an
interview with a Peruvian TV show called ‘the
value of truth’ Gonzalez (below) described
the bedroom experience with the 29-year-old
as ‘having sex with a dead body.’
Xoana GonzalezMessi, who is currently with
the Barcelona squad in their pre-season tour,
reportedly got intimate with the model some
years ago. She revealed:
"It was many years ago. In truth he was very

FG Receives 800,000 Applications For N-power Jobs

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen.
Chris Ngige, said on Monday that the Federal
Government had received 800,000
applications for the 500,000 jobs promised
the youth.
Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige Speaking at the 5th
Town Hall Meeting organised by the Federal
Ministry of Information in Enugu on Monday,
Ngige advised the people of the South East
to explore the opportunity by registering on
the web portal.
He said that the jobs were mainly for
teaching and skills acquisition as promised
by the APC government.
He said that the administration had a good
agenda for the unemployed youths
irrespective of the current challenges facing
it.
The minister said that 100,000 out of the
500,000 tobe employed would be trained as
agricultural extension workers and deployed
to rural areas to assist the farmers with
improved method of farming through the
partnership of the ministry of agriculture.
“I want our graduates to register so that they
will not say that they are marginalised when
people that registered are selected,” he said.
He urged the governors and local
government chairmen in the South East to
assist their youths to print the forms as
many expressed difficulty in accessing the
portal.
Ngige regretted that youths neglected skills
acquisition to chase white collar jobs that
were not in existence, adding that most
skilled jobs were being done by Ghanaians
and people from other neighboring countries.
“If our youths had acquired skills, they would
be self employed and reliant and shun Boko
Haram, IPOB and Avengers,” the minister
said.
He described Igbo youths as enterprising
and hardworkingand could survive without
depending on the government but had
neglected their values.
The minister explained that the current
economic hardship the country faced was
because the past government neglected
agriculture and failed to savefor the rainy
day.
He admonished the Igbo to come out of the
“persecutionsyndrome,’’ saying that the APC-
led government was notmarginalising any
section of the country.

Jos University Teaching Hospital Blocked By Protesting Health Workers

The joint health workers union JOHESU of the
university of Jos Teaching Hospital JUTH have
today 1st August 2016 staged a peaceful protest
barricading the main entrance of the teaching
hospital and crippling its activities, it faulted the
insensitivity of the hospital management led by
the Chief medical Director, Professor Edmond
Banwat.
Speaking to the Plateau state JOHESU Chairman,
Comrade Mustapha Kabir, said that the union
had resolved to embark on a peaceful protest
today pending when their April and May salaries
are paid and also pass a vote of no confidence
on the top management for total system failure.
He lamented the non implementation of the MOU
signed at the instance of the minister of health
since they called off the strike on 6th of June.
Out of over 2000 staff only about 270 received
salaries and some were paid N500, N200 or even
N100. He called on the intervention of the
Federal Government as a Federal Teaching
hospital should not be faced with issues such as
this and further called for the removal of the
Chief Medical Director and change of the entire
management team.
A Doctor in the hospital also confirmed that it
was rather an unfortunate situation and it was
painful that it has generated to this, stating that
the entire management led by the CMD has been
Insensitive to the plight of the entire staff and
that for the past 7months the hospital has not
been effectively functional.
Another hospital worker also confirmed that the
hospital seems to be running to a halt as basic
facilities in the hospital are unavailable and
therefore most hospital services are almost at
zero. Most patients have to be taken to other
private medical centers for issues that are
normally resolved within and further confirmed
that some workers received as low as N100 for a
month salary after unjust deductions as only a
handful have received salaries.
As at the time of filing this report all activities at
the hospital was at a stand still as there was no
entrance into and out, even the medical students
writing their exams seems to all be on a stand
still.
The protest is schedule to last the whole day
with rumours that the doctors will also join in the
strike if issues are not resolved
